DEGREASER H.D.D.14

General characteristics :

DEGREASER H.D.D.14 is a blend of solvents and emulsifiers designed to clean rapidly the heaviest soils and greases from plant machinery, metal surfaces or concrete floors. It may be diluted with paraffin or similar solvents for added economy.
DEGREASER H.D.D.14 is non-alkaline, safe on all metals and will not damage paint, if used as directed. It readily emulsifies with water (including sea water) with very little agitation.

DEGREASER H.D.D.14 is formulated to rapidly emulsify all traces of oil and grease in presence of water and rinse freely from surfaces without re-depositing contamination. It is a concentrated and powerful cleaner. The surfactants used in DEGREASER H.D.D.14 are biodegradable.

Areas of application :

DEGREASER H.D.D.14 is ideal for heavy duty cleanup operations on automobile engines, heavy machinery, compressors, workshop machinery, floors and oil tanks.
DEGREASER H.D.D.14 can be used as a pre-cleaning detergent prior to alkaline cleaning or degreasing operations. It is suitable for tank cleaning operations, where crude oil or heavy distillates have been stored. It is an excellant cleaner for asphalt stains.
DEGREASER H.D.D.14 can be used for treating oil spills on decks, piers, floors and also can be used to disperse heavy bunker oil in case of spillages around boilers and steam generators.

Method of application and dilution :

DEGREASER H.D.D.14 can be used neat or can be diluted upto 1:1 with water, as it forms a stable emulsion with a bit of agitation.
Brush, spray or wipe DEGREASER H.D.D.14 onto the surface and allow 10 to 15 minutes and apply again, if necessary and rinse off with water (fresh or sea water).
For internal tank cleaning wipe or spray onto surface, wait for 15 minutes and apply again, if necessary. After allowing sufficient time, flush off with fresh or sea water. For spills on decks or floors, wipe or spray on surfaces and rinse with fresh or sea water.

DEGREASER H.D.D.14 is solvent based and is flammable. It should be used in suitably ventilated situations where natural or induced draft takes the vapour away from the workers.
Prolonged breathing of vapours and repeated contact with skin should be avoided. It is advisable to use breathing masks and proper breathing apparatus, if jobs like internal tank cleaning are being undertaken. The product is to be stored away from open floor and smoking in the work area can be injurious.
In case of skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and flush with water.
In case of eye contact, flush with water and seek medical attention.
In case of ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.
Concentrations of vapours from the product should be kept at low levels with adequate ventilation. Customers are advised not to re-use empty containers and to dispose them promptly.
